Overview

Skar Proto integrates Zoho Payments as its primary payment gateway to facilitate three distinct payment flows within the platform. All transactions are processed securely and comply with applicable Indian financial regulations.

Payment Use Case 1 — Course & Teaching Fees

Students paying Teachers

Educators on Skar Proto (SkarVersity) host courses and live learning events inside topic communities. Students who wish to enrol in a paid course make a one-time or recurring payment to the teacher's account through the platform.

Payer: Student (learner)
Payee: Teacher / Educator (topic owner or role holder)
Trigger: Course enrolment or event registration
Amount range: ₹50 – ₹5,000 per transaction
Frequency: One-time per course or per session

Payment Use Case 2 — Peer-to-Peer Event Transfers

Friends splitting event costs

When a group of users organises a real-world event (trip, meetup, competition), the event creator can collect contributions from attendees directly inside the app. The collected amount is held and distributed to the organiser or used to pay a venue / vendor.

Payer: Event attendee / friend
Payee: Event organiser or group fund
Trigger: RSVP or contribution request within an event
Amount range: ₹10 – ₹10,000 per contributor
Frequency: Per event, variable participants

Payment Use Case 3 — Advertising & Promotion Revenue

Businesses paying for ad slots

Businesses, brands, and individual promoters can purchase advertising slots on the Skar Proto platform. Ads are displayed as promoted content inside topic feeds, in the events listing, and as sponsored push notifications.

Payer: Advertiser / Promoter (business or individual)
Payee: Skar Proto (platform operator)
Trigger: Promotion campaign creation and activation
Amount range: ₹100 – ₹50,000 per campaign
Frequency: Per campaign (one-time or recurring monthly)

Transaction Security & Compliance

All payment data is handled exclusively by Zoho Payments — Skar Proto does not store card numbers or bank details.
Transactions are encrypted end-to-end using TLS 1.2+.
Refund and dispute handling follows Zoho Payments standard policy.
We comply with Indian Payment & Settlement Systems Act, 2007, and applicable RBI guidelines.
